From thinking about how diseases are spread or contained, to building a better skyscraper that can withstand earthquakes, this programme of activities explores both the practical and the hypothetical. How can STEM help us to slow down or stop the spread of disease?
The activities are introduced with a quick objective and a preparation guide. Individuals or groups can then work through the challenges to achieve the results.
Extension ideas and top tips are provided, to help you showcase what you have learned. You will gain the confidence and skills of how to get ready for exhibitions and competitions and how to choose which ones to get involved with.

Modelling Technologies that are relevant to the 21st century using Engineering all our programs offer creative exploration, programming, informative content that is in sync with the National K-12 School Curriculum.
Students learn through designing, building, and testing models, and making suggestions for improvements based on observation.
As they progress, we will challenge and support your children’s learning in inventing technologies that make our lives easier and more comfortable.
They will gain global awareness in the design process and an understanding of how our decisions can impact global change.
1. Build models (devices) to duplicate existing Technology. (6-9 years old)
2. Make improvements to models or demonstrate new applications for existing technological systems or equipment and justify them. (9-12 years old)
3. Design and build innovative Technology or provide adaptations to existing Technology that will have human benefit and/or economic applications. (12-17 years old)
